Understanding GDPR, CCPA, and the burgeoning data compliance rules and regulations is a full-time job. As we've seen with security in the digital ecosystem most digital privacy officers, attorneys, chief security officers, risk officers, and executives are concerned about the enterprise and the impact of these rules and regulations on their business and bottom line.
But we're missing the point. The point of GDPR and CCPA is to protect the consumers that are visiting the digital assets of brands as part of the marketing and sales cycle.
As long as enterprises and institutions are concerned about themselves in context of data privacy rules and regulations we will find ourselves with ever-increasing in complex interpretations of these rules and regulations.
